Four people, including a teenager, have reportedly lost their lives in a road accident at Alagbon along the Owode-Atan route in Ogun State.
Three others were injured in the crash, which occurred when a bus rammed into a stationary faulty Sinotruck and a white Suzuki minibus with registration number KTU 874 YJ.
In a statement on Monday, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the incident, noting that a total of 11 people were involved.
According to reports, three persons — one man and two women — sustained injuries, while four victims, comprising one man, two women, and a teenager, died at the scene.
Akinbiyi blamed the crash on both drivers, stating that the mini bus would not have collided with the cement-laden Sinotruck if the truck driver had placed a caution triangle on the road to warn incoming vehicles.
He said the injured victims were taken to General Hospital, Idi-Iroko by operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) before the arrival of TRACE officials.
The accidented vehicles had been towed away and traffic flow restored in the area.
