In a major twist in their ongoing marital dispute, Regina Daniels has acknowledged using hard drugs but alleged that her husband, Ned Nwoko, played a deliberate role in fostering her addiction as part of a broader pattern of control.

Her admission was contained in a detailed Instagram post on Sunday, issued in response to Nwoko’s earlier statement accusing her family of introducing her to drugs. Daniels dismissed his version of events, insisting it was designed to shift focus away from what she described as the “core issue: her allegations of domestic violence and imprisonment”.

She further accused the lawmaker of colluding with his doctor to administer drugs meant for bipolar disorder, claiming he preferred her “sexier” and compliant whenever she was under the influence.

Daniels argued that Nwoko’s supposed concern for her recovery was “insincere,” saying he only began “pushing the drugs narrative” after she made the decision to leave the marriage. According to her, Nwoko’s real intent was to isolate her from her family, which she says explains why her brothers were arrested.

“Ned, how could you lie so openly and without even small remorse? You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this,” she wrote.

She added that he had “alwavs tried to cut them off” and was now trying to shift blame. Daniels admitted: “Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us?” accusing Nwoko of using the drug story to distract from the real conflict.

She alleged that Nwoko wanted to “arrest everyone around me” to make her “isolated and broken,” leaving her with no choice but to return to him.

Daniels also claimed that although Nwoko asked her to go to rehab publicly, he previously preferred her “high” because, in his words, she looked “sexier” that way.

She further asserted that he withheld her phones for weeks, locked her up, and instructed doctors to inject her with drugs meant for bipolar patients.

She challenged him to “tell them that all your wives and ex wives are on drugs” and explain why. She insisted that he should stop using the “drugs” narrative to create distractions, saying every disagreement began when she no longer wanted to stay with him.

Daniels also revealed that she and Nwoko are not legally married, stating that she would have already filed for divorce if they were. The 25-year-old actress claimed Nwoko is holding a private sex tape of her and vowed to continue her public confrontation with him.

The conflict, ongoing since October, began after a viral video showed Daniels crying and accusing Nwoko of domestic violence. Nwoko responded by alleging she was battling drug and alcohol addiction.

The dispute intensified on November 3 after Daniels accused the senator of coordinating the arrest of her brothers.

The situation has sparked concern among Nollywood colleagues. Actress Mercy Johnson previously demanded the release of Daniels’ brother Sammy and questioned the legality of his arrest.

The federal capital territory (FCT) police command has since clarified the reasons behind Sammy’s arrest and detention.
