Seun Kuti, Peter Okoye bury hatchet after months-long election feud

Afrobeats stars Seun Kuti and Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, have resolved their public dispute, reconciling after months of tension linked to the 2023 presidential election.

The rift started when Kuti openly criticised Labour Party candidate Peter Obi, a move that drew a response from Okoye and escalated into a fiery exchange across social media platforms.

However, the two musicians have now put their differences aside. They were recently spotted sharing a warm embrace at a Lagos nightclub, where Kuti remarked, “We are artistes, we can’t be fighting over politicians,” a view Okoye also endorsed.
