The statement noted that Abdulkadir Balarabe Kankarofi, popularly known as Alhajiji, has been named Special Adviser on Humanitarian Affairs in the Office of the Executive Governor, having previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Protocol I.

It also announced the appointment of Aisha Tamburawa as Special Adviser on Positive Propaganda to the governor. She earlier held the position of Supervisory Councillor in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area.

In the Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency, Mukhtar Yusuf was promoted from Deputy Managing Director to Managing Director, while Zakari Usman Balan was appointed as the new Deputy Managing Director.

The governor also approved the appointment of Mukhtar Bello Maisudan, a senior lecturer at Bayero University, Kano, as Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board.

Similarly, Abba Kankarofi was promoted from Deputy Managing Director to Managing Director of the Kano Road and Maintenance Agency.

Musayyib Kawu Ungoggo was appointed as Managing Director of the Kano Zoological Garden. Before his appointment, Ungoggo had served in various political capacities, including as a councillor and Senior Special Reporter.

“The governor approved these appointments and promotions as part of ongoing efforts to reposition key institutions for efficiency, accountability and effective service delivery,” Dawakin Tofa said.

Yusuf charged the newly appointed and promoted officials to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication, transparency and commitment to the people of the state.

“He urged the appointees to see their new responsibilities as a call to serve the people diligently and contribute meaningfully to the success of the Kano First Agenda,” the statement added.

The governor reiterated that his administration remained committed to strengthening public institutions and delivering people-oriented governance across Kano State.
