The four individuals abducted on January 5, 2026, along the Omu-Aran–Isanlu-Isin Road in Kwara State have been freed.

Sources confirmed that the victims were released on Wednesday.

A security source who verified their release said, “The released individuals are receiving treatment in various hospitals in Ilorin and Omu-Aran respectively.”

Meanwhile, another incident occurred on Tuesday evening along Correctional Centre Road, where one person was killed and another abducted.

“Residents of Isanlu-Isin and neighbouring communities are in a panicking mood, as a result of which some schools have closed down,” the source added.

In a separate development, security operatives arrested a suspected bandit in Igbaja, Ifelodun Local Government Area, who was allegedly posing as a beggar.

A security source disclosed, “The suspect was caught disguising himself as a beggar in Igbaja.”

According to intelligence reports, some bandits fled Baba Sango after discovering that their informants, who were masquerading as beggars, were being monitored while moving through towns and villages in Kwara South.

It was also revealed that bandits previously hiding in Baba Sango and Oro-Ago had begun relocating to other parts of the senatorial district, adopting disguises to evade arrest.
