The family of Ihotu John Rebecca, the Nigerian female footballer abducted along the Benin Expressway, has appealed to kind-hearted Nigerians for support, saying her captors are demanding a N20 million ransom for her release.
Ihotu John Rebecca, who features for Pacesetter Queens FC in the NWFL Premiership, was seized while travelling home on the Benin Expressway.
Her kidnappers are insisting on a ransom of ₦20,000,000.
This young athlete has committed herself to advancing Nigerian women’s football at the top domestic level. At this moment, she remains in serious danger, and every second counts.
