Yilwatda, Basiru returned as APC National Chairman, Secretary at convention

Professor Nentawe Yilwatda has been re-elected as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, while Surajudeen Basiru was chosen as National Secretary at the party’s 4th Elective National Convention held on Friday night at Eagle Square in Abuja.

Their emergence was announced by the Convention Election Committee, with both officials among several candidates returned through consensus.

The event was attended by President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.

The convention, themed “Unity in Progress: Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda,” was organised by a committee led by former Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim.
