Bruno Fernandes has been named the EA SPORTS Premier League Player of the Month for March after a standout run of performances for Manchester United.

The Manchester United captain enjoyed an impressive month, registering two goals and four assists across four league matches, underlining his influence in the team’s attacking play.

Fernandes scored and assisted in a 2–1 win over Crystal Palace, provided an assist in a narrow 2–1 loss to Newcastle United, delivered two assists in a 3–1 victory against Aston Villa, and netted a penalty in a 2–2 draw with AFC Bournemouth.

His contributions took his Premier League assist tally to 16 for the season, surpassing David Beckham’s long-standing Manchester United record of 15 assists in a single campaign set in 1999/2000.

The Portuguese midfielder is also closing in on the Premier League’s all-time single-season assist record of 20, jointly held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.

This latest award marks Fernandes’ first Player of the Month win in exactly a year, with his previous triumph coming in March 2025. He has now equalled Cristiano Ronaldo’s tally of six monthly awards, and sits just one behind the all-time record held by Harry Kane, Sergio Agüero, and Mohamed Salah.

Fernandes becomes the second Manchester United player to win the award this season after Bryan Mbeumo’s success in October 2025.

He topped a seven-man shortlist that included James Garner (Everton), Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United), Alex Iwobi (Fulham), David Raya (Arsenal), and Danny Welbeck (Brighton & Hove Albion).

Winners are decided through a combination of public votes on the EA SPORTS website and a panel of football experts.
