Nigerian music star Burna Boy has finally spoken about the recent altercation involving DJ Tunez, giving his own account of what happened while also taking a swipe at Wizkid.
During an Instagram Live session, Burna Boy denied reports that several members of his team attacked the DJ, insisting that he alone confronted DJ Tunez and that the incident involved only two slaps.
The Grammy-winning singer said he was disappointed that Wizkid did not contact him privately to settle the matter, adding that he had expected a more direct reaction instead of social media posts.
Mocking Wizkid, Burna Boy suggested that his rival chose to respond online rather than in person, claiming his influence exists mainly on the internet.
In his words:
“No be 10 people touch DJ Tunez, na only me and na only two slaps I give am. I swear with my mama, if I dey lie, make Ogun carry my mama go anywhere wey Wizkid’s mama dey. He comes go dey tweet, I think say he go send squad, na internet their own power dey. We na real life our own power dey.
I tell people make them no touch am. Na only me touch am. If say 10 people touch am, na so him go dey? I even think say him go call their oga, their oga wey go do something. But na tweet him oga come dey tweet. So what was the point, that means I don waste my time….”
The controversy follows earlier reports that Burna Boy and members of his entourage were allegedly involved in a nightclub clash with DJ Tunez. Witness accounts circulating online claimed the disagreement turned physical, with allegations that several individuals confronted the DJ.
DJ Tunez had earlier condemned Burna Boy’s actions, describing them as a sign of weakness and maintaining that he stood his ground despite being outnumbered.
Burna Boy later appeared to continue the taunts by posting a relaxed video of himself enjoying a DJ Tunez track, further intensifying reactions among fans online.
