The Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has revealed that he has officially changed his birth date.

In a recent post, the 44-year-old singer stated that he will now mark his birthday on November 30, replacing November 18 — the date he previously shared with his twin brother, Paul Okoye.

“Dear Family, Friends, and Fans, I’m making it official. November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date. Please note that I will not be accepting any messages or gifts on that day,” he wrote.

“My birthday will now be celebrated on November 30th. This is a personal decision, and I truly appreciate your understanding. Thank you all.”

He had earlier hinted at the move in a separate post, saying: “I am officially changing my birthday date.”

In recent years, Peter — born on November 18, 1981 — has remained in the spotlight due to his rift with Paul following the breakup of their music group, Psquare.

The Okoye brothers initially parted ways in 2017 over disagreements involving their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye.

They reconciled in November 2021 after a five-year fallout and staged a comeback concert the following month.

However, in 2024, Paul confirmed another split, alleging that Peter played a role in his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Peter later raised concerns over alleged irregularities in their former management, sparking fresh public disputes and legal issues within the family.
