Egypt national team director Ibrahim Hassan has revealed that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has sustained a hamstring tear that will keep him out for about four weeks.

Salah picked up the injury during Liverpool’s win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The 33-year-old has endured a challenging season at Anfield, scoring seven league goals so far, with an earlier announcement indicating he will leave the club in the summer.

Speaking on the development, Hassan confirmed the extent of the injury and expected recovery period.

“He ‌‌has suffered a hamstring tear and will require four weeks of treatment.”
