The controversial singer, Portable has survived a car accident after his vehicle veered off the road and ended up in a ditch.
In an Instagram video, the singer showed his damaged car and explained that the brakes failed while he was driving.
He said he came out of the incident unhurt and expressed gratitude that those who arrived at the scene did not meet him dead.
The accident reportedly happened just hours before his newborn son’s naming ceremony scheduled for May 9. Portable also revealed that he had already purchased two cows for the event.
“My fans, join me in thanking God. I was just driving out this evening when the accident happened,” he said.
“I am fine. I came out unhurt. I suddenly realised that the brakes had failed. My people have arrived here at the scene. I thank God they are not here to collect my corpse.
“I have already bought two cows for my son’s naming ceremony. Thank God the accident didn’t happen while a trailer was passing on the road.”
The newborn, named Jamal Iremide, was born on the same day Portable lost a celebrity boxing match to Carter Efe by unanimous decision.
This is not the singer’s first road incident.
In March 2022, he crashed his Range Rover, describing it as a “spiritual attack”. Two months later, he survived another accident, and in 2023, his G-Wagon was also severely damaged.
