Seyi Vibez has publicly criticised fellow singer Adekunle Gold over a lyric in his newly released deluxe project, ‘Fuji Xtra’.

The controversy erupted after Adekunle Gold released the deluxe edition on Friday, particularly the track titled ‘Life of the Faaji’.

In the song, the singer says: “They love my fuji, this no be Fuji Moto”.

The lyric quickly sparked reactions online, with many fans interpreting it as a subtle jab at Seyi Vibez’s 2025 project, ‘Fuji Moto’.

Hours later, Seyi Vibez reacted in a series of posts on X, where he slammed Adekunle Gold and described him as “wack”.

“Adekunle Gold you’re wack. And your swag is wack. Old fool!” he wrote.

In another post, the singer also hurled insults at his colleague.

“Adekunle panda Egbon ofo! Egbon ya,” he wrote.

A rivalry has reportedly existed between both artistes for some time.

In 2025, Adekunle Gold released ‘Fuji’, an album inspired by Fuji music blended with Afrobeats and pop elements.

Weeks later, Seyi Vibez unveiled ‘Fuji Moto’, a project that also embraced Fuji-inspired street-pop sounds.

The similarities in the projects’ themes and titles immediately triggered comparisons among fans.

As of the time of this report, Adekunle Gold has yet to respond to Seyi Vibez’s remarks.
