The Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday granted bail to former Nasir el-Rufai.
The court approved his bail in the sum of N100 million with one surety in the same amount.
While delivering the ruling, Justice Joyce Abdulmalik stated that the surety must reside in either Maitama or Asokoro in Abuja and provide the original Certificate of Occupancy of a landed property to the court registry.
The court also directed that the surety must be a federal civil servant not below Grade Level 17 and present proof of at least three months’ salary payments.
In addition, the documents must be verified through a letter from the surety’s bank manager within the court’s jurisdiction.
