Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, during a late-night operation conducted at about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

The rescue mission also led to the death of two suspected kidnappers during an exchange of gunfire with security operatives, while two firearms were recovered from the suspects.

The victims, including the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, were abducted on June 3, 2026, at about 7:30 a.m. while she was taking her children to school.

According to police sources, the successful operation followed sustained intelligence gathering and tactical pressure mounted on the kidnappers, which eventually forced them into a confrontation with security personnel.

The operation resulted in the safe rescue of the victims and the recovery of weapons used by the criminal gang.

Security operatives have since launched a manhunt for other members of the kidnapping syndicate who reportedly fled the scene, with some believed to have escaped with gunshot injuries.
