The host of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, and his wife, Cynthia Obi-Uchendu, are preparing to welcome their third child.
Cynthia announced the pregnancy on her Instagram page on Sunday, sharing a heartfelt reflection on motherhood and her excitement about expanding their family.
“Yup! Seven years later and we’re here again. That’s 10 years since my first rodeo…,” she wrote.
She admitted that despite previous pregnancies, this experience has felt entirely different.
“It’s so interesting how you think experience makes things easier or more familiar, but they never lied when they said every pregnancy is different,” she wrote.
“I’m just beyond grateful to God for being my guide through this journey because omo, what a journey it has been.”
Explaining why the pregnancy feels especially meaningful, Cynthia said she has always believed that the best things come in threes.
“Life is about 1) the beginning, 2) the journey and 3) the end,” she wrote.
“With shapes, one stands alone, two are parallel lines, but three points form an actual shape. A triangle. A unit.
“Even the Bible talks about the Holy Trinity. So, I guess third time’s truly a charm.”
She also expressed appreciation to her daughters, Jewel and Rubi, for warmly embracing the arrival of a new sibling.
Cynthia further praised Ebuka for his unwavering support throughout the pregnancy, joking that he would soon return to diaper duties.
“I’m beyond thankful for JEWEL and RUBI who have been even more excited than me about a new sibling,” she wrote.
“And for le boo EBUKA who’s been a proper solid rock. I know you thought you were done changing diapers sha (you are old) lol.”
“Don’t worry, at least the fab five is now complete. Or is it?”
The couple got engaged in April 2015 after dating for some time and tied the knot on February 6, 2016.
Ebuka recently renewed his marital vows with Cynthia in Vatican City to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary.
