The family of former Ogun State First Lady Olufunke Daniel is mourning the death of her mother, Chief Sabainah Ibironke Opawole (née Osoba), who passed away at the age of 93.
According to the family, the late matriarch died peacefully on Thursday, July 2, following a brief illness. She was remembered as a woman of deep Christian faith, strong family values and remarkable character.
Chief Opawole was the mother of Olufunke Daniel, wife of former Ogun State Governor and Senator Gbenga Daniel. She leaves behind children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
