Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has said an active sex life plays a significant role in a woman’s radiant appearance, while reflecting on life as a single mother, becoming a grandmother and why she has become less vocal on controversial issues.

Speaking during a Monday appearance on The Morayo Show, Ojo shared her thoughts on relationships, family and personal growth.

Addressing what she believes contributes to women’s confidence and youthful glow, the actress said, “We (single mothers) are happy. I think some married women are happy too. I don’t think it’s about being single or being married.”

She added, “I think it’s about the person that you’re with. Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow. I’m getting more than enough.”

Beyond relationships, Ojo described raising her children and watching them thrive as one of her greatest achievements, saying their success gives her a deep sense of fulfilment.

“It makes me feel good, happy, and fulfilled,” she said.

The actress also revealed that becoming a grandmother has influenced how she handles public criticism and controversies.

According to her, she now avoids unnecessary public confrontations to shield her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and her family from unwarranted attention.

“I have piped down because of my grandson now. My daughter is married, so when I keep fighting, the opposite side is going to come up with different false allegations, and I don’t want her going through any stress. But if the need arises for me to speak up, then I will,” she said.

Ojo also disclosed that she travelled to Canada to perform the traditional omugwo for Priscilla following the birth of her grandson.

She had previously explained why she ensured her ex-husband played a prominent role during Priscilla’s 2025 wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, saying she chose to put aside their differences to prevent their separation from affecting their daughter.

Priscilla and Juma Jux welcomed their first child, Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada in August 2025 after announcing the pregnancy earlier that year. Their wedding celebrations in Nigeria and Tanzania were among the most talked-about celebrity events of 2025.
