Kwara police nab two alleged kidnap accomplices

The Kwara State Police Command has arrested two suspects for allegedly assisting kidnappers in the abduction of three people in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects, identified as Sauni Shehu and Auwalu Bala, were arrested after intelligence-led investigations linked them to the abduction of three victims at Ogele Fulani Camp, via Igbaja, in the local government area.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, disclosed the development in a statement issued in Ilorin on Friday.

She said the arrests were part of the command’s sustained efforts to dismantle kidnapping networks and bring all those connected with the crime to justice.

“The relentless pursuit of criminal elements and everyone connected to their activities continues to yield tangible results as operatives of the Kwara State Police Command have arrested two suspects for their alleged roles in facilitating the kidnapping of three persons in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state,” Ejire-Adeyemi said.

She added that the suspects were being investigated for alleged criminal conspiracy, aiding and abetting kidnapping and kidnapping.
