Founder of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, has encouraged Nigerians, particularly members of his church, to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He made the call on Sunday while preaching during a service at Canaan Land, Ota, Ogun State. The sermon, titled Breaking the Curses of Life, drew a large congregation.

Oyedepo described obtaining a PVC as a civic obligation, urging worshippers not to forfeit their constitutional right to take part in deciding the country’s future.

According to him, possessing a PVC gives citizens the opportunity to choose their leaders, stressing that no eligible voter should be excluded from participating in the next general elections.

The cleric also reminded members of the importance of their votes, encouraging them to secure their voter cards well ahead of the election period instead of waiting until campaigns begin.

He noted that political leadership plays a significant role in determining the direction of a nation, adding that Christians should not remain indifferent whenever the opportunity arises to elect leaders.

Oyedepo further stated that while spiritual authority is important, it should not take the place of civic responsibility, urging believers to combine prayer with active involvement in the democratic process.

“We have a right to determine who rules us and this church, with the millions we are, has a say in it, so be part of it,” he said.

He concluded by urging the congregation to embrace collective responsibility and regard their Permanent Voter Cards as tools for driving positive change and national development.
