Popular American fitness influencer Ashton Hall has said Nigeria was the standout destination of his recent African tour, praising the country’s culture and describing Lagos as “an African version of Miami.”

Hall shared his thoughts during a livestream on his Kick account on Sunday after completing visits to several African countries.

According to him, Nigeria offered an experience unlike any other on the continent, with its energetic atmosphere, welcoming people and local dishes leaving a lasting impression.

“Lagos, Nigeria feels like an African version of Miami. I stayed in Lagos when I was in Nigeria. Their culture, food, I mean I like all of them. Africa is fire,” Hall said.

Despite his admiration for the country, the content creator said he sees Nigeria as a place to visit regularly rather than settle permanently.

“I would definitely come back from time to time, but I don’t think I would live there,” he said.

Hall’s arrival in Lagos sparked excitement online, with many fans and content creators turning out to meet him during his stay.

He spent time with music producer Don Jazzy and collaborated with several well-known Nigerian streamers and online personalities, producing content that attracted millions of views.

Nigeria was the final stop on Hall’s African tour, which also took him to South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ghana.

At every destination, he documented his experiences through videos featuring local attractions, traditional meals, fitness activities and cultural moments, generating strong engagement from his global audience.

Hall first built his reputation by posting fitness and motivational content centred on discipline, productivity and healthy living. His carefully produced morning routine videos, often set in luxurious locations, became hugely popular across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

His online profile continued to grow in 2024 and 2025 as his videos spread widely across social media, inspiring countless reactions and parody clips. In recent months, he has broadened his content to include international travel, with his African tour drawing widespread attention across the continent.
