“My wedding ring is my most precious piece of jewellery” – Davido reveals

Afrobeats star Davido has revealed the five items he never travels without, describing his wedding ring as the most important because it represents his commitment to his wife.

The singer made the revelation during an interview with Mystery Fashionist, where he also discussed his love for fashion and shopping.

Davido said his passion for dressing well began from an early age.

He noted that although he no longer has time to shop personally, he now works with a stylist.

He added that he makes it a habit to buy something for his wife whenever he visits a store.

He said, “I like to look good since I was young, I like to go shopping. I don’t have the time; now I have my stylist. I bought my wife some heels the other day. Every time I enter a shop, trust me, I’m leaving with something for my wife; she’s the reason I do all this.”

The award-winning singer said his wedding ring is his most treasured piece of jewellery, explaining that it symbolises the vows he made and his identity as a married man.

Davido listed his five travel essentials as his American passport, Bottega headphones, an 18-karat Rolex wristwatch, his wedding ring, and a Cuban link chain weighing more than one kilogram, which he said is worth nearly one million dollars.

“My wedding ring is my most precious, most important piece of jewellery because I have a vow to follow. A ring is a symbol to show I have a partner; stay away, I’m taken.

“Five fashion essentials I always travel with are: American passport, Bottega headphones, 18k Rolex wristwatch, Wedding ring, Cuban link that weighs over a kilo; it costs almost a million,” he added.
