Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has revealed that global superstar Rihanna is the international artist he would most love to work with.
He shared this during a live interview on Twitch with host @Theboyfromojo.
“Rihanna is my dream collab, but she’s not into music again. She makes billions from her makeup business now,” the singer said.
Davido said he has great admiration for Rihanna, adding that the pair would create “dope music” if they ever teamed up.
The “I Know Who I Be” hitmaker, however, admitted he is unsure whether the collaboration will happen anytime soon.
He explained that Rihanna is currently more focused on expanding her hugely successful Fenty beauty and fashion brands than returning to music.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the two stars share mutual respect, with Rihanna openly expressing her admiration for Davido’s body of work.
She previously described Davido’s hit single “Unavailable,” featuring Musa Keys, as her favorite song and revealed that she had it on repeat.
In appreciation of the praise, Davido affectionately referred to her as “my Ri Ri.”
Over the years, Davido has worked with several international stars, including Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby, and DaBaby, further showcasing the global appeal of his music.
Rihanna, whose last full-length studio album was “Anti” in 2016, has since focused on building her business empire, led by Fenty Beauty.
