Disc jockey Baddest DJ Timmy has accused Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo of breaching a contractual agreement over a proposed tour of the United Kingdom, alleging that the singer lacks integrity and failed to fulfil his obligations.
The dispute began after Timmy claimed that Dakolo owed him money related to the planned tour.
In an Instagram post on Friday, the disc jockey said the singer had promised to repay the money a month earlier after requesting additional time.
Timmy also threatened to reveal what he described as Dakolo’s “sexcapades” if the alleged debt was not settled by Monday, July 20, 2026.
In response, Dakolo, through his legal representatives, described the alleged debt as “false and defamatory”.
The singer explained that the £4,106 in question was connected to a proposed UK tour organised by Timmy and Revolve Entertainment, which was eventually cancelled.
According to the letter, the agreement between the parties placed responsibility for production, travel and logistics expenses on the promoter. It also stated that Dakolo was not required to pay a deposit or reimburse the promoter for those costs.
Dakolo further alleged that the tour was cancelled after Revolve Entertainment failed to meet the required production standards.
The singer also accused Timmy and Revolve Entertainment of defamation, harassment, cyberbullying and blackmail through their social media activities.
He subsequently demanded a public retraction, an apology and the removal of the posts, warning that he would pursue legal action in Nigeria and the UK if his demands were not met.
However, in a video shared on social media on Monday, Timmy alleged that Dakolo had signed a contract and authorised advance payments before suddenly cutting off communication, despite several attempts to contact him.
“Timi Dakolo, from everything that has happened so far, you have proven that you lack integrity. You don’t have respect for your family, and you don’t love your wife and your children,” he said.
The DJ claimed that Dakolo had chosen to ignore the matter in the hope that it would eventually disappear.
“We sent you countless letters, text messages, but your strategy is ignore, ignore, the problem will go. I want to tell you that it is not going to go,” he added.
“You cannot sign a contract, give us the go-ahead to pay for things and all of a sudden, you just go silent. It does not work like that. We are not in Nigeria; this is Europe, you cannot do that.”
Timmy also urged Dakolo to reconsider his management team, alleging that there were communication problems between the singer and his representatives.
The DJ, whose real name is Otis Ayodele Kubeyinje, challenged Dakolo to produce evidence showing that he had raised concerns about the event’s production before withdrawing from the tour.
“You need to reshuffle your team because your communication with your team is poor. You will tell your team something and later claim they did not tell you. How is that our business?” he said.
“Timi Dakolo, show me proof where you complained about the production because, according to your letter, you said you complained about the production.”
