Arsenal have confirmed the acquisition of Christos Tzolis on an extended deal.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT:
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Christos Tzolis on a long-term contract.”
The 24-year-old attacker arrives from Club Brugge, having featured 108 times across all tournaments while registering 43 goals and 45 assists for the Belgian outfit.
Christos began his senior football journey in Greece with PAOK Thessaloniki. After catching the eye with a 20-goal haul in 27 games for their Under-19 squad, the Greek international stepped up from the academy to earn his senior debut facing Olympiacos in June 2020. His initial full campaign with PAOK culminated in trophies, as he played a key role in their May 2021 Greek Cup triumph by netting five goals across four matches in the tournament.
Following that strong year, Christos made the move to then-English top-flight club Norwich City, making an instant mark by scoring two goals and setting up two more on his debut during a 6-0 Carabao Cup victory over Bournemouth in August 2021. Helpful temporary stints in both Holland and Germany followed, featuring for FC Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf to aid his progression.
By July 2024, the attacker headed to Club Brugge, where he established himself as a central figure over the subsequent two years. Operating mainly from the left flank, Christos quickly emerged as a vital component in both local and European competitions, capturing the 2025 Belgian Cup while claiming the Belgian Pro League Player of the Season award. He earned this individual honor again last term, securing back-to-back awards as Club Brugge marched to the 2025/26 league championship.
Internationally, Christos featured for Greece across various youth tiers prior to making his full international debut in October 2020. He has since collected 34 caps for his nation.
Sporting Director Andrea Berta said: “We’re delighted to have completed the signing of Christos Tzolis.”
“Christos is an extremely versatile attacking player who naturally operates on the left but is comfortable across the front line. He’s an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces, and possesses incredible technical ability.
“Christos has produced outstanding numbers in terms of goals and assists over the last three seasons, and he’s a player who will raise the technical level of our squad, while bringing positive energy, enthusiasm, and a strong mentality to our team.
“We’re confident Christos will make a significant contribution to our club, and we hope our supporters will enjoy watching him play in an Arsenal shirt.
“We look forward to sharing this exciting new chapter together.”
Christos will wear the number 17 shirt and has already joined up with his new teammates at Sobha Realty Training Centre for pre-season.
Everyone at Arsenal welcomes Christos and his family to the club.
The transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
