Germany have appointed Jürgen Klopp as the new head coach of their men’s national football team, bringing the experienced manager back into coaching after his break from the game.
Klopp has agreed to a contract that runs until July 2030 and will now oversee Germany’s preparations for future international competitions in his first job at national team level.
Confirming the development on Friday, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano posted on X, “Official: Jurgen Klopp is back! He’s the new German national team head coach. Done, confirmed until July 2030.”
The 59-year-old built his reputation with successful spells at Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, where he won several domestic and international trophies while earning praise for his attacking football and ability to build competitive teams.
His achievements include lifting the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup with Liverpool. He also led Borussia Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles during a memorable period at the club.
Klopp now faces the challenge of rebuilding the German national side and guiding the former world champions back to the top of international football after a series of disappointing tournaments.
