Afrobeats star Sarah Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has made her Hollywood on-screen debut with a brief appearance in a behind-the-scenes teaser for the forthcoming fantasy film Children of Blood and Bone.
The teaser was shared on Instagram by the film’s director, Gina Prince-Bythewood, offering fans an exclusive glimpse into the production process.
Prince-Bythewood also revealed that the movie’s official trailer is scheduled for release on Tuesday.
“So excited to share a peek behind the scenes of our incredible journey to Orisha. CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE trailer drops TOMORROW! And in theatres Jan. 15!” Prince-Bythewood wrote.
Although Ayra Starr appears only briefly in the clip, it marks the Grammy-nominated singer’s first visual appearance in character ahead of her Hollywood acting debut.
The teaser is also soundtracked by Tems’ hit single “Me & U,” adding another Nigerian presence to the highly anticipated adaptation.
The Paramount Pictures production is based on Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling fantasy novel Children of Blood and Bone.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release on January 15, 2027.
The star-studded cast includes Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lashana Lynch, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Tems, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr and Damson Idris.
