Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, and actor Charles Okocha engaged in a heated exchange during a live interview on Wednesday as their rivalry intensified ahead of their celebrity boxing rematch.

The confrontation took place during a TVC programme titled Chaos in the Ring, where the two entertainers appeared alongside a moderator to discuss their upcoming fight scheduled for 31 July.

During the interview, Portable repeatedly expressed confidence that he would defeat Okocha again, highlighting his preparations and previous victory over the actor.

“I’m the man… I go prepare, I don prepare, I go win again, I go fight again. I go beat Charles Okocha,” Portable said.

The singer also spoke about his relationship with British rapper Skepta, saying the artiste had shown him support and encouraging Nigerians to have faith in him.

Portable further insisted that he was already a winner ahead of the fight and was prepared to prove himself in the rematch.

At one point, the Zazoo crooner, who was shirtless, suddenly stood up from his seat and threw playful punches towards Okocha.

Okocha, however, repeatedly urged Portable to save his energy for the fight night.

“So what are you talking about? Can you save that for the ring? Can you save that on the 31st? Don’t disrespect me! I’m not your mate. Don’t disrespect me!” Okocha said.

As both men continued exchanging words, the programme presenter repeatedly appealed to Portable to remain calm while attempting to redirect the conversation towards the upcoming bout.

“Portable… Portable, calm down. It’s understandable that this energy is on right here,” the presenter said as the argument continued.

The rematch comes after Portable secured a unanimous decision victory over Okocha in their first encounter, following the actor’s decision to activate the rematch clause.

Ahead of Friday’s contest, both fighters have continued to trade verbal jabs while undergoing separate training sessions.

Portable recently revealed plans to challenge fellow singer Terry G to another celebrity boxing match after his bout with Okocha, stating that he intends to continue pursuing boxing alongside his music career.

The singer has also claimed that he has received ₦50 million from a reported ₦150 million purse for the 31 July fight and remains confident of defeating Okocha once again.
