Actor and social media sensation, Charles Okocha, has denied allegations from controversial singer Portable that he bit him during their recent boxing rematch.

The second bout, dubbed ‘Unfinished Business,’ took place on August 1, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.

The match ended abruptly in the first round after Portable exited the ring mid-fight, prompting the referee to declare Okocha the winner.

Hours after the match, Portable took to social media to claim that Okocha had bitten him and held his neck during the fight, and that he retaliated with a kick.

In a recent interview with Max FM, Okocha dismissed the accusations as “baseless,” suggesting Portable was making excuses for his loss.

“Clearly he is lying. Go check it out in the video when he left the ring. I do not know what he went to do at the back of the ring,” he said.

The actor rejected any suggestion that he would resort to biting, pointing out that he wore a teeth guard throughout the fight.

“Do I look like someone that would bite Portable? I would rather chew grass than chew that skin. Have you seen Portable’s skin? Nobody wants to contact that. I will never,” Okocha said.

“To think that I even have a teeth guard. How am I going to bite him? I would have to take it off.”

The two celebrities first faced each other in the ring in 2023, a match that Portable won. Okocha had previously maintained that the decision in that fight was unfair.
