The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
The examination body announced the release on Wednesday through its official X account, directing candidates to generate their Serial Number and PIN before accessing their results on the WAEC Direct portal.
More than 1.9 million candidates across Nigeria sat for the examination, which was conducted between April 21 and June 19, 2026.
According to WAEC, candidates should visit its official website and select the “Serial Number and PIN” option. They are required to choose the appropriate examination year and diet, enter their examination number and National Identification Number (NIN), and ensure the NIN matches the one used during registration.
Candidates must also provide a valid email address and phone number to receive a One-Time Password (OTP). After entering the OTP, they can retrieve their Serial Number and PIN, which will enable them to check their results on the WAEC Direct platform.
The council advised candidates to follow the prescribed process carefully to avoid errors during result verification.
The release of the results concludes the 2026 WASSCE exercise, which was successfully conducted nationwide over a two-month period from April to June.
