Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has publicly unveiled her daughter, Yakira, as she celebrated the child’s first birthday.
The media personality shared photos revealing Yakira’s face on her Instagram page, marking the milestone and reflecting on how motherhood has changed her outlook on life.
Makinwa also said becoming a mother had transformed her perspective, urging people to relate to and address her differently.
Toke also expressed gratitude to God for the journey of motherhood, saying she had been blessed with a healthy daughter and that everything she prayed for during pregnancy had come to pass. She disclosed that she plans to fly Yakira out to London for her first birthday celebration.
“Y’all need to chat with me differently now. I’m the mother of a one-year-old. I’m flying her to London for her birthday party,” she said.
