Tension reportedly broke out between music veteran Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, at an event in Abuja on Friday night, with allegations of an attempted abduction emerging from the confrontation.
The incident reportedly occurred during the grand opening of 90s Lounge in Abuja, an event hosted by fellow music veteran Faze, where 2Baba was scheduled to perform, according to Daily Post.
The reported confrontation comes after the couple were previously involved in a physical altercation, following which the singer was reportedly arrested over an alleged assault involving Natasha.
A senior member of 2Baba’s management team confirmed to Daily Post that a confrontation took place at the venue.
According to the source, Natasha arrived at the event accompanied by security personnel and a group of men described as thugs, resulting in a standoff involving 2Baba and members of his team.
The management source further alleged that Natasha and the men accompanying her attempted to abduct 2Baba during the confrontation.
However, details surrounding the incident remained unclear as of the time of reporting. It was also not immediately known whether anyone was injured or if any arrests were made in connection with the incident.
The source further claimed that 2Baba and Natasha had been living separately for more than two months before the reported clash.
Efforts to obtain Natasha’s response to the allegations were unsuccessful. Daily Post also noted that it could not independently verify the claims made by 2Baba’s management team.
Couple’s recent history
In February 2026, 2Baba, also known as 2Face, and Natasha Osawaru dedicated their child in church.
The ceremony took place about three months after the couple welcomed their first child together in November 2025, following their traditional wedding earlier that year.
In a viral video from the ceremony, 2Baba and Natasha were seen dancing towards the altar while carrying their baby, as family members followed behind them, clapping and celebrating.
The couple later presented the child to the officiating minister for prayers.
