Vice President Kashim Shettima has taken advantage of his ongoing two-week break from official duties to spend time reading and broadening his knowledge.
Images released on Monday captured the Vice President immersed in books as he observes the leave period.
Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Communications in the Office of the Vice President, said Shettima traditionally uses his time away from official engagements for personal development and reflection.
According to Nkwocha, the break allows the Vice President to step back from the pressures of governance, study relevant issues and reflect on his responsibilities to the country.
He stressed that continuous learning remains essential in leadership, adding that greater responsibilities make the pursuit of knowledge even more important.
Shettima proceeded on the two-week leave on August 7 and is expected to return to official duties around August 20.
