The Independent National Electoral Commission has begun uploading results from Saturday’s Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal.
Checks on the INEC Results Viewing Portal by our correspondent as of 4:03pm showed that 402 polling unit results had been uploaded out of 3,763, representing 10.68 per cent of the total results expected.
Data on the IReV portal showed that the latest upload was recorded at 4:03:10pm from polling unit 29/02/04/006, as the collation of results continued across the state’s 30 local government areas.
The election is being closely monitored by voters, political parties and election observers through the IReV platform, which allows polling unit-level results to be viewed electronically.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party is seeking re-election against the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, African Democratic Congress candidate, Najeem Salaam, and other contenders.
The commission’s Result Stats section on the portal continued to update as more polling unit results were uploaded.
Users can refresh the portal to view newly uploaded results as they become available.
However, the number of uploaded results remained relatively low as of press time, with only 402 of the expected 3,763 polling unit results available on the platform.
Further uploads are expected as officials continue the collation process at the ward and local government levels across Osun State.
