Nigerian singer Adebayo Adeleke, popularly known as B-Red, has celebrated the re-election of his father, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, following his victory in the August 15 governorship election.

Adeleke, who contested the election on the platform of the Accord Party, was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday morning after the collation of results at the state capital, Osogbo.

The returning officer, Joshua Ogunwole, announced that Adeleke polled 511,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who secured 444,815 votes. African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate Najeem Salaam came third with 17,180 votes.

Adeleke won in 19 of the state’s 30 local government areas, while Oyebamiji secured victory in 11.

Following the declaration, B-Red shared a video showing himself, his father and other family members and associates celebrating the governor’s return to office.

In the video, B-Red celebrated the outcome, while Governor Adeleke wrote: “We did it ,Adeleke 👍 The bulldozer 💪.”
