Nigerian singer Alexander Adelabu, better known as Magixx, has announced the death of his mother, Esther, describing her passing as one of the most heartbreaking moments of his life.
The 26-year-old Mavin Records artiste revealed the news in an emotional social media tribute, saying he was finding it difficult to come to terms with his mother’s death.
Magixx remembered Esther as a resilient and compassionate woman who cared for her family and extended kindness to others despite battling an illness.
“I have never felt pain like this. Never been this lost. Still processing that this is real. Can’t believe this happened to you, Mom,” he wrote.
The singer described his mother as his biggest source of support and reflected on the special bond they shared.
“You are my reason, my why, my guardian, my twin, my everything,” he added.
Magixx also remembered Esther for her free spirit, wit and kindness, saying those who came into contact with her were easily drawn to her personality.
He expressed regret that he could not tell her one more time in person how much he loved her, adding that he would choose her as his mother again in every lifetime.
