Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate Nomy has been disqualified from the ongoing 2026 season after repeatedly failing to comply with Biggie’s instructions.
The disqualification came shortly after Monday evening’s nomination process for possible eviction, when Big Brother summoned the housemates to the lounge to address Nomy’s repeated disregard for his directives.
Biggie cited her decision to leave behind her assigned bench and vest in the arena after she was selected to serve as this week’s bench warmer following her poor performance in the Head of House (HoH) games.
According to Big Brother, Nomy had been instructed to take the items with her but deliberately refused to do so.
He subsequently informed her that her participation in the reality show had been terminated and gave her 30 minutes to pack her belongings and leave the house.
In a post announcing the development, the official BBNaija account said:
“BREAKING NEWS: Nomy has been disqualified from the Big Brother Naija Show Ya Sef house.
Big Brother cited her repeated defiance of his instructions, including leaving her assigned bench and vest behind while serving as this week’s bench warmer.”
Nomy had previously received a strike in the second week of the competition over a similar violation.
At the time, Big Brother described the sanction as her “last and final warning,” stressing that house rules, instructions and the punishments attached to them must be followed.
The 2026 edition of BBNaija premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates. The eventual winner is expected to receive a N160 million grand prize, described as the biggest prize in the reality show’s history since it began in 2006.
