[TRENDING VIDEO] “No amount of campaign will change Nigeria’s structure in next election” — Apostle Arome Osayi

Campaigning, political mobilisation and the possession of voters’ cards may not be enough to bring the change many Nigerians are hoping for in the next election, Apostle Arome Osayi has warned.

Speaking on the state of the nation, Osayi said Nigerians were concentrating on elections while failing to address what he described as deeper problems affecting the country.

He particularly cautioned supporters of different political movements, including the Obedients, Atikulates, Kwankwasiyyas and others, against believing that their campaigns and votes alone would be enough to alter the existing political structure.

“I know most of you are campaigning. There is no amount of campaign you do that will change the current structure of things in the next election. You are campaigning. No amount. Your voter’s card will not change anything,” he said.

According to the apostle, Nigeria requires healing before meaningful transformation can take place, arguing that the focus on political activities was distracting from the deeper issues confronting the nation.

“The land is sick. If it’s not healed, there can be no change. You are looking at the wrong things, trusting the wrong people. We are a joke. We are a big joke,” he stated.

Osayi also warned that the country was entering what he described as a period of judgment, predicting that some politicians and preachers could face severe consequences within the next five years.

“Right now, this is the day of judgment. Many will be cut off, politicians and preachers will be cut off in the next five years. Young and old, I am not talking about old, young and old, cut off,” he said.

He further stated that even if God decided to show mercy to Nigeria, such mercy could come through judgment.

“That is if God decides to have mercy, the way the mercy will manifest will be in form of judgments,” Osayi added, urging Nigerians to seek divine mercy and intervention for the country.
