Chelsea forward Joao Pedro has become the latest player from the club to win the Premier League Player of the Month award after being recognised for his performances in August 2026.

Chelsea players have now won the monthly Premier League award 22 times, with 15 different players receiving the honour.

Only three Chelsea players have won the award over the past decade, dating back to September 2016, with Cole Palmer claiming it twice during that period.

Gianfranco Zola — 1 win

Gianfranco Zola won the Premier League Player of the Month award twice as a Chelsea player, in December 1996 and October 2002.

The Italian forward was an influential figure during Chelsea’s emergence as one of the Premier League’s leading clubs.

Frank Lampard — 4 wins

Frank Lampard holds the record for the most Premier League Player of the Month awards won by a Chelsea player, with four.

He received the award in September 2003, April 2005, October 2005 and October 2008.

The honours came during his development from a key midfielder into one of the most decorated players in Chelsea’s history.

John Terry — 1 win

Former Chelsea captain John Terry claimed the award in January 2005.

He was a dominant presence in Chelsea’s defence during the club’s 2004/05 title-winning campaign, when the team conceded only 15 league goals.

Petr Cech — 1 win

Petr Cech won the award in March 2007 after a series of impressive performances during Chelsea’s pursuit of another Premier League title in the 2006/07 season.

Arjen Robben — 1 win

Dutch winger Arjen Robben was named Player of the Month in November 2004.

He played an important role in Jose Mourinho’s first Chelsea side and contributed to the club’s dominant 2004/05 Premier League title campaign.

Joe Cole — 1 win

Joe Cole received the award in March 2005 after playing a significant role in Chelsea’s title-winning campaign that season.

The England international was known for providing creativity and attacking quality from midfield.

Deco — 1 win

Portuguese midfielder Deco won the award in August 2008.

After joining Chelsea from Barcelona that summer, he quickly made an impact under Luiz Felipe Scolari and was recognised in his first month in the Premier League with the club.

Nicolas Anelka — 1 win

French striker Nicolas Anelka won the award in November 2008.

He was a key attacking player for Chelsea during the 2008/09 season and went on to finish the campaign as the Premier League’s leading goalscorer.

Florent Malouda — 1 win

Florent Malouda claimed the award in March 2010.

The French winger was enjoying one of his most productive spells at Chelsea during the 2009/10 campaign and played an important role in Carlo Ancelotti’s title-winning team.

David Luiz — 1 win

Brazilian defender David Luiz won the award in March 2011, shortly after joining Chelsea during the January transfer window.

His defensive displays, alongside important goals against Manchester United and Manchester City, helped him secure the honour.

Juan Mata — 1 win

Spanish midfielder Juan Mata won the award in October 2012.

He was one of Chelsea’s main creative players during the early 2010s, known for his vision, passing and chance creation.

Diego Costa — 2 wins

Diego Costa won the award twice, in August 2014 and November 2016.

His first came shortly after his move from Atletico Madrid, following an impressive start to the 2014/15 season.

He claimed the award again under Antonio Conte during Chelsea’s 2016/17 title-winning campaign.

Eden Hazard — 2 wins

Eden Hazard won the award twice, in October 2016 and September 2018.

The Belgian winger was one of the Premier League’s leading attacking players during his Chelsea career, with his second award coming after an impressive start to the 2018/19 campaign under Maurizio Sarri.

Cole Palmer — 2 wins

Cole Palmer has won the award twice, in April 2024 and September 2024.

His first came during an outstanding debut season at Chelsea, while the second followed another prolific start to the 2024/25 campaign.

He became Chelsea’s first Player of the Month winner since Eden Hazard in 2018.

Joao Pedro — 1 win

Joao Pedro is the latest Chelsea player to receive the Premier League Player of the Month award after winning the prize for August 2026.

His recognition followed an impressive start to the 2026/27 season under Xabi Alonso, making him the 15th different Chelsea player to win the award.
