The 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland has moved into the decisive stage of the group phase, with several nations already confirming their places in the Round of 16.
Seven teams have secured qualification for the knockout stage, while three countries have already been eliminated from the competition.
Teams qualified for the Round of 16

- Argentina

- Spain
Poland and Brazil topped their respective groups after recording three consecutive victories, while Argentina and England progressed as runners-up.
Italy, DPR Korea and Spain also booked their places in the next round after winning their first two group matches.
Teams eliminated
- Mexico
- Benin
- Tanzania
Mexico and Benin were knocked out after ending their Group A campaigns in third and fourth positions respectively.
Tanzania also bowed out after suffering defeats in all three of their Group B fixtures.
Teams still in contention
Several nations remain in the race for the remaining Round of 16 spots as the group-stage matches draw to a close.
Canada still have a chance of advancing despite currently sitting third in Group B, as they could qualify as one of the four best third-placed teams.
Nigeria are also still fighting for a knockout-stage berth in Group F after earning one point from their first two matches.
At this stage, no team in Groups C, E or F, aside from the already-qualified DPR Korea and Spain, has been eliminated.
The complete Round of 16 line-up will be confirmed once all the outstanding group-stage fixtures have been played.
