The management of Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Abi has denied reports alleging that her husband was involved in her eviction from the reality show, describing the claims as false, baseless and unverified.
Abi was among the ‘Show Ya Sef’ housemates evicted from the competition on Sunday.
Following her exit, reports surfaced on social media claiming that her husband, Alex, had contacted Big Brother and sought to influence her removal from the show.
In a statement shared on Instagram on Monday, Abi’s management said it was aware of the rumours circulating online regarding her husband’s alleged involvement in the eviction.
The management, however, dismissed the claims, insisting that there was no basis for the allegations.
“We are aware of a publication currently circulating online making claims about Abi’s eviction and alleging an incident involving her husband and Big Brother,” the statement reads.
“Abi’s management strongly condemns the publication and the deliberate spread of false information concerning her and her family.”
The management called on those circulating the content to take it down and desist from further publication or distribution, threatening legal action against anyone who continues to publish or circulate the claims.
“Appropriate legal action will be considered against anyone who continues to publish or circulate this falsehood,” it added.
“Abi’s journey continues, and so does our commitment to protecting her name and reputation.”
