[PHOTOS] Gov Umo Eno receives Hilda Baci in Uyo, praises her achievements

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has praised Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci for her courage and willingness to take on new challenges, which he said have contributed to her achievements.

Eno made the remarks on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, when he received Baci, an indigene of Akwa Ibom State, at the Government House in Uyo.

The governor said Baci’s journey demonstrated how determination and courage could enable people to overcome obstacles and accomplish significant feats.

He also praised her for bringing recognition to Akwa Ibom through her culinary achievements and encouraged her to continue promoting the state.

Speaking to the Government House Press Corps after the meeting, Baci described the pace of infrastructure development, peaceful environment and investment opportunities in Akwa Ibom as impressive.

She commended Governor Eno’s leadership, describing the state as “amazingly beautiful.”

Baci also expressed particular satisfaction with the facilities at Victor Attah International Airport, describing the infrastructure as first-rate and impressive.

The chef further praised the hospitality and hardworking nature of the people of Akwa Ibom, saying she would work with relevant stakeholders where necessary to contribute to the state’s development.

She encouraged tourists and investors to visit Akwa Ibom to explore its environmental, recreational, hospitality and investment opportunities.

The Guinness World Record holder also urged residents of the state to continue promoting love, unity and peace as part of efforts to sustain its development.
