[TRENDING VIDEO] APC chieftain fires warning at wike: ‘we won’t let you use our party to build PDP’
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Farouk Aliyu, has issued a blunt warning to Nyesom Wike, saying the APC will not allow the FCT Minister to exploit the ruling party’s platform to strengthen the Peoples Democratic Party.
Aliyu’s remarks highlight growing tensions over Wike’s political activities and his continued support for President Bola Tinubu despite remaining a member of the opposition PDP.
The APC chieftain also took aim at Wike’s style of political engagement, accusing him of attacking and insulting APC leaders while positioning himself as a supporter of the President.
“We will not allow Wike to use our party (APC) and build his party (PDP). Just because you want to support the president, you insult people anyhow, including our leaders,” Aliyu said.
His comments come amid ongoing political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections, with Wike’s relationship with the Tinubu administration continuing to attract attention within both the APC and PDP.
