The presentation was held on Wednesday at the Nasarawa State Police Command headquarters in Lafia, the state capital, as part of efforts to provide financial assistance to families of officers who died while serving the country.

Speaking during the presentation, Mohammed expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, for the gesture and his continued efforts to improve the welfare and well-being of police personnel and their families.

Jairo said, “The payment of the benefits demonstrated the Nigeria Police Force commitment to supporting families of officers who paid the supreme price in the line of duty.

“I want to urge the beneficiaries to judiciously utilise the funds and, where possible, invest the money in profitable and sustainable businesses that would provide a source of income and improve their standard of living,” the CP said.

He also urged them to manage the funds responsibly, emphasising that the gesture should serve as a means of strengthening the economic well-being of their families and securing a better future for their children.

One of the beneficiaries who spoke on behalf of the others, Edith Jacob expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police and the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, for the timely intervention and welfare support extended to them.
