Nigerian content creator-turned-actor, Kamo State, has addressed the absence of his godmother, actress Funke Akindele, from his movie premiere.
Funke Akindele has come under criticism over her noticeable absence from the premiere of Kamo State’s debut cinema film, ‘Star Lomo’, on Sunday.
Her absence sparked speculation of an alleged disagreement between the actress and the content creator.
Amid the backlash, Kamo explained that Funke was unable to attend the premiere because she travelled out of the country.
Kamo also urged netizens to stop speculating about their relationship, stressing that they are still on good terms.
“I woke up to see different opinions online about Iyamii and myself. Please we are on good terms.
“She missed my premiere because she wasn’t in the country. So please don’t assume otherwise. We have spoken about it, and she is going to support this film. I would appreciate it if our personal relationship isn’t speculated on,” he wrote on X platform.
