[FULL LIST] Atiku unveils 2027 presidential campaign council; El-Rufai, Amaechi, others make list
African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has constituted his Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections, naming former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai and former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi among those appointed to the campaign structure.
Kashim Ibrahim-Imam will chair the council, while El-Rufai will serve as deputy chairman.
Senator Austin Akobundu has been appointed Director-General and Campaign Manager, with responsibility for coordinating the campaign’s operations.
The composition was announced on Thursday in a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communications of the council and Atiku’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication.
According to the statement, the structure is designed to reflect the economic challenges facing Nigerians, including rising food prices, higher transport costs and declining incomes.
Six Deputy Directors-General will oversee the council’s operational directorates, alongside directors assigned to specific portfolios.
