Nollywood actress Mosun Filani has explained why she took a break from acting.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Yoruba, Filani said she temporarily left the movie industry to devote more time to raising her children.
The actress noted that her children are now older, prompting her decision to return to acting.
“I stopped acting to focus on my family. My kids are grown; they know left from right, and it is time for me to get back to acting,” she said.
She also addressed rumours surrounding her marriage. The actress clarified that she is not her husband’s second wife, although he had been married before she met him.
“I am not a second wife; my husband might have had a marriage before, but I did not meet anyone in his house,” she added.
Filani is well known for her roles particularly in Yoruba-language Nollywood films.
