Norwich City have confirmed the death of their life president, Michael Wynn-Jones, at the age of 85.
The club said Wynn-Jones died peacefully at his home on Monday morning, with tributes pouring in following his death.
Norwich City also acknowledged the care provided to Wynn-Jones by the community nursing team at St Elizabeth Hospice during his final period.
The club extended its sympathies to Delia and Tom, as well as Wynn-Jones’ relatives, friends and other loved ones, while respecting the family’s request for privacy.
In an official statement, Norwich City said:
“Everyone at Norwich City is deeply saddened by the passing of our life president, Michael Wynn-Jones.
Michael passed away peacefully at home on Monday morning at the age of 85. He will be greatly missed.
His family extends their gratitude to the community nursing team at St Elizabeth Hospice for their dedicated care.
Our deepest condolences go out to Delia and Tom, and to all of Michael’s family, friends, and loved ones.
At the family’s request, we respectfully ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
