K-RAD commiserates with Osogbo flood victims, calls for urgent support

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District, Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, SAN (K. RAD), has expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with residents of Osogbo and other communities across Osun Central affected by the recent flooding.

K. RAD described the situation as deeply painful and extended his heartfelt condolences to families who have suffered losses, while praying for the safety and wellbeing of everyone affected.

“My heart is with the people of Osogbo and all residents of Osun Central who have been affected by this unfortunate flooding. I share in your pain, anxiety and the difficulties this disaster has brought upon your families and livelihoods.

“At moments like this, politics must give way to humanity. The safety, dignity and welfare of our people must remain paramount. No family should have to face such a difficult situation alone.”

K. RAD urged relevant government agencies, community leaders, humanitarian organisations, philanthropists and well-meaning individuals to respond urgently with relief materials, temporary shelter, medical assistance, food and other essential support for affected families.

He also called on the Osun State Government, under Governor Ademola Adeleke, to take immediate and sustained steps to address the environmental causes of flooding, including the dredging and clearing of canals, streams and drainage channels to improve water flow and reduce the risk of future flooding.

He further appealed to residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with emergency and environmental authorities, particularly in communities vulnerable to further flooding.

As a prospective representative of Osun Central Senatorial District, K. RAD reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining a close relationship with the people and standing with communities in times of difficulty as well as prosperity.

He prayed for the repose of the souls of those who may have lost their lives, the speedy recovery of those who suffered losses, and protection for all residents from further disasters.
