Former BBNaija housemate Ikechukwu Okonkwo, popularly known as Cross, has alleged that he was robbed by street beggars in Lagos.
Cross, in a video shared on his X page on Wednesday, recounted how a group of beggars approached his vehicle while he was driving through the Ikate area of Lekki.
According to him, one of the men engaged him through his car window while another suddenly pulled off the weatherstrip around his windscreen before fleeing the scene.
“Federal government, just got robbed,” he said.
“All those beggars, they were at my window talking to me. I refused the guy and the guy just ripped off this thing from my car.
“Just look at this. He just ripped it off and ran away and I chased the guy all the way. I couldn’t catch him. He ran so fast. The guy gathered so fast and I knew they are plenty.”
Cross also questioned the presence of beggars on the streets, calling on the government to intervene.
“He actually just robbed it off and ran. What the heck?” he said.
“Federal government, what kind of mistake are you guys doing by allowing these guys to be on the street? This is messed up, man.”
